Thank you for using LBox. This Privacy Policy applies to the LBox application ("the App" or "we"), developed and published by an independent developer.

LBox's main features include:

• Secure storage of photos, videos, and files using AES-256-GCM encryption
• Encrypted private notes
• Private browser with no-trace browsing (auto-clears history and cookies)
• Encrypted audio recording and management
• Face ID / Touch ID biometric unlock
• Intruder photo capture (auto-captures photo on failed password attempts)
• Screenshot and screen recording protection
• App disguise mode (calculator, flashlight, clock appearances)
• Fake vault and destroy password features
• EXIF metadata cleaner
• Encrypted backup and WiFi device-to-device transfer

Local Data (inaccessible to us)

All of the following data is encrypted and stored on your device only — we have no access:

• Photos, videos, and files you import or capture
• Your encrypted notes
• Your audio recordings
• Private browser history, bookmarks, and downloads
• Intruder photo logs
• App settings and preferences (dark mode, auto-lock, etc.)

Limited Information That May Be Collected

• Crash Reports: When the app crashes, iOS may automatically collect crash logs via Apple's crash reporting mechanism. Such data contains no personal content and does not pass through our servers.
• App Store Purchase Receipts: When you purchase the premium version, Apple provides a purchase receipt. We verify this receipt locally only and do not upload your payment information.
• WebDAV Backup (optional feature): If you choose to use WebDAV cloud backup, you configure your own third-party WebDAV server (e.g., Nextcloud). The encrypted backup is stored on your own server; we are not involved.

Since we collect very little data, our usage is equally limited:

• Purchase Verification: We verify your premium purchase locally via Apple's StoreKit framework to ensure premium features are correctly unlocked.
• App Functionality: Data stored within the app (photos, notes, etc.) is used solely to provide the app's core features to you, for no other purpose.
• Crash Improvement: Crash reports provided by Apple (if any) are used to improve app stability.

We will never use your data for advertising, analytics, third-party marketing, or sell it to any third party.

Encryption

LBox uses the industry-leading AES-256-GCM symmetric encryption algorithm to encrypt all stored content. Encryption keys are derived from your password and stored locally on your device — we cannot access them.

Password Security

• Your password is processed with a secure hashing algorithm and stored locally. We cannot see your password in plaintext.
• The recovery key mechanism lets you recover data if you forget your password. The recovery key is kept solely by you — we hold no copy.
• Destroy Password: once configured, entering a specific password immediately destroys all data to protect your emergency privacy.

Data Location

• All data is stored in the private sandbox directory allocated by iOS for this app.
• The app does not use iCloud Drive for automatic sync (cloud backup is an optional paid feature that must be actively enabled by the user).

Data Deletion

• Uninstalling the app will delete all local data (except data with iCloud backup enabled).
• You can manually clear all data in-app via Security Center → Delete All Data.

You can revoke any of the above permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Revoking permissions does not affect your already-stored encrypted data.

Apple 服务

Apple Services

• Apple StoreKit (In-App Purchases): Used to process premium version payments. Apple's privacy policy governs such transactions; we do not store your payment information.
• Apple Crash Reporting: Your iOS settings control whether crash data is shared with Apple and developers.
• Apple Biometric Framework (LocalAuthentication): Face ID / Touch ID authentication is completed within iOS's Secure Enclave; biometric data never leaves your device.

Optional Third-Party Services

• WebDAV Server (optional): If you enable WebDAV backup, your relationship with your chosen WebDAV provider is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
• Private Browser: The browser feature allows you to access the internet. The privacy policies of websites you visit are determined by those websites. The app does not track your browsing content and does not retain history (auto-cleared on exit).

• Data Portability: Exported backup files can be imported into LBox on a new device.
